Used Smart Array from HP to make a RAID1 array, seen as /dev/sda by CentOS installer.
Passed the option hpsa.hpsa_allow_any=1 to the installer in order to be able to boot after install (not sure this was the solution to the boot problem. I also destroyed the smart array from bios and the ROM seems to have rebuilt it on its own on reboot....)
